UMG 803.04 Automatic log sorting line with video scanning of logs
The automatic log sorting line is designed for sorting logs by diameter from 110mm to 600mm into twenty pockets. The logs are loaded on a feed ramp and then split one by one, aligned to the side for visual quality assessment. An operator who notices a low-quality log can instruct the line to throw it in an extra low-quality log pocket. This prevents poor-quality logs from entering the scanning equipment. The line is equipped with two scanning devices, the first is a metal detector, the second is a 3D geometry scan that automatically selects which pocket to turn the log into. This scanner also calculates the volume of logs. This allows you to keep track of exactly how much wood is being sorted. Statistics are available to the operator. It is also possible to install equipment that allows sorting statistics to be viewed online.
